LexAI started as an internal tool. We needed AI for our own legal work, but the options on the market had serious problems - poor privacy practices, weak performance on complex legal documents, and tools that were just ChatGPT wrappers with a legal skin.

So we built our own. Open-source AI models running on Hetzner infrastructure in Germany, a RAG system connected to official legal databases, and architecture designed for long documents and multi-step legal reasoning. After months of development and using it ourselves, we decided to make it available to others.

We're starting in Czech Republic and expanding across Europe - building the legal AI platform we wish had existed when we started looking.
